Michigan fresh 48 photographer

Fresh 48 photographer for East Jordan, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Gaylord, Traverse City, and all of Northern Michigan

I am a newborn, maternity, baby, and birth photographer located in East Jordan, MI, that focuses on capturing timeless portraits of your growing family

Session information

As a newborn photographer, I specialize in capturing the early moments of a baby's life. A Fresh 48 newborn photography session is the perfect opportunity to document these precious moments within the first 48 hours after the baby's birth.

During the session, I will visit the hospital, birth center, or home where the baby was born and capture candid, natural photos of the baby, parents, and any siblings or other family members that are present during the first 24-48 hours. My focus is on capturing the raw emotions and special moments that occur in those first few hours after birth, rather than staged or posed shots.

I will essentially be on call during the weeks surrounding your due date! When you are on the way to the hospital or an induction or c-section date is scheduled, you'll notify me!

Who can be in the session?

When we do your session, it will completely depend on how your delivery goes. If you have a vaginal delivery, depending on the time of day, I can be there later the same day or the morning of the next day. If you have a c-section, I will come to the hospital after the first 24 hours to allow time for you to be able to get out of bed.

The first 48 hours after delivery are an intimate time so I keep these sessions for the immediate family only. Sibling involvement is encouraged but will depend on hospital/facility visiting policies as well. If you would like grandparents involved, we can involve them at the end of the session.
