Birth photography is a unique and powerful way to capture one of life's most incredible moments. The raw emotions, tears of joy, and expressions of love that are captured in these images are priceless and truly breathtaking. It is a great way to document and remember a moment in time that will never be repeated.
Once hired, I will be on call for your delivery starting at 36 weeks until you deliver. You will be able to text or call me at any time to keep me updated and once you have reached the active stage of labor (defined as 6 cm dilated) I will arrive to document your labor and delivery story. I will essentially be a fly on the wall capturing the candid and the raw moments as you get closer to meeting your baby. I will stay till approximately 2 hours after delivery to capture all those sweet bonding moments. If you plan on delivering at a hospital or birth center, it is important that you get my presence as well as my potential need to use flash approved by your medical team.

I recommend booking your birth story at the beginning of your second trimester. I can only take on a very limited number of due dates per month so I can best serve my clients. The sooner you book your due date month the better chance you have of getting on my calendar.

The beauty of birth is unpredictable! Due to this, I will be on call for your delivery starting at 36 weeks of pregnancy. It will be extremely important for you to keep me updated on your pregnancy and to call me immediately at the first sign of labor. If you get scheduled for an induction or a c-section, you'll need to notify me!

What happens if you don't make it to my delivery in time?
When you hire me to document your birth, you can expect to keep me updated (at least through text) on your pregnancy especially when nearing your due date. When you go into labor or go into the hospital for your induction or c-section, you or your support person will notify me and I will arrive as soon as I can. I will be a fly on the wall capturing moments as they unfold while remaining out of the way of your care team. Depending on lighting, I may use a flash occasionally as well but will do my best to not allow it to be distracting. If at any time you want me to stop documenting, I will stop.

What happens if you don't make it to my delivery in time?
Birth is unpredictable! If you happen to have an unexpectedly fast labor and deliver before I arrive, or if I am unable to make it in time due to unforeseen circumstances, I will arrive as soon as possible and capture all of the fresh details and moments following delivery and recovery. If I am unable to make it to your delivery for any possible reason, I will do my best to secure a back up photographer. If a back up photographer is unavailable, you will receive a fresh 48 and/or newborn session. Please refer to contract for full details regarding situations like this.
