The Session Experience
During the booking process, you will be provided a questionnaire that will assist me with providing you the best service personalized to you. The topics covered on the questionnaire will depend on what session you are booking but they all will include a place for you to tell me a little bit about you and your family, colors you prefer, and any special requests you may have.
If booking a newborn session, once baby is born, you will reach out to me to let me know so we can confirm our session date.
Once your session is here, you will come to my warm studio where I have prepared our session ahead of time. I have a couch you will be able to relax on throughout our session as well.
For families with more than a newborn, we will get the family and sibling photographs completed first. That way any older siblings that may get restless and/or rambunctious can go out to eat or play at the local park with your spouse or support person while we finish with the remainder of your session.
During your session, I will do a combination of poses and prompts to capture your family and children looking at me for the traditional family photo, as well as loving connections while looking and interacting with each other.
During the newborn portion of your session, I will photograph baby in wraps, in props, and some semi-naked poses as well. If at any time baby wakes up and is happy, or near the end of the session, I will wake them for those adorable close up portraits.
The majority of my sessions take place in my home based studio located in East Jordan, MI. Each session is photographed with care and expertise to provide you with the best experience and timeless photographs that I can provide.
After your session, within 2-3 days, you will receive a soft proof gallery of all the good images from your session. This gallery will not be completely edited. From this gallery, you will then choose which images you want for your chosen package as well as any additional images you may want to purchase. Once you have chosen your images, I will complete all the final edits and you will receive a final gallery for downloading within 3-4 weeks of your image submission. If you would like a special image right away for use in an announcement, communicate that with me and I can get you that image as soon as possible. Your final gallery will include two sets of downloadable files. One set will be sized for sharing on the internet and social media while the other set will be sized and formatted for printing.

I am so excited you are here! A little bit about me... I’m first and foremost a mom to 6 amazing kiddos. I have four boys and two girls. Yes, it is always chaotic at my house! I have been with my high school sweetheart, Zak, for 18 years now too! On top of that, I am also a registered labor and delivery nurse.
If I’m not chasing kids, on a photo session, editing, or working at the hospital, you can find me chilling out binge watching crime dramas and knitting! That’s pretty much me in a nutshell.
I’ve also always been passionate about creating anything I can, whether it be a painting, knitting, crafting, playing music, and photography… I love it all! I’ve had the dream of being a professional photographer for almost a decade now and it wasn’t until I was pregnant with my 5th baby and then on maternity leave, that I was able to take the opportunity to dive all in to building my business and I have loved it ever since!
If having 6 kids has taught my anything, it’s that time is fleeting and the littlest things that I wish I could hang on to forever are gone within a blink of an eye. I can’t wait to capture those precious little details and freeze them in a beautiful piece of art for you to enjoy for many years to come.
